Thanks for your kind words. Where are y...Hi Mandy,

Thanks for your kind words. Where are you living? Counting the cats is good but you want to make sure there is a feeder, or caregiver, who regularly feeds the cats at a specific time and place. Chasing after cats does not work. I would not leave food out all the time or over night. It attracts more cats and wildlife...Once you get a good count of those coming consistently, then food needs to be withheld the day before and the day of trapping. Have the vet lined up and it may take two nights of trapping to get them all. This assumes you have enough traps to do a mass trapping - and depends on # of cats, of course. I would be interested in where this is as I may know of people who do TNR in that area. Feel free to ask me any additional questions. I am begi...you, Pam, are an incredible human being. I am beginner at TNR but am doing it in a foreign country, where the culture is not geared towards neutering, so that takes a bit of getting around. May I please ask some advice though? My son's school has many feral cats who roam on the property after hours. They have given me permission to conduct a TNR programme on the campus sites. I've started a feeding schedule as the prelude to trapping but it seems that the cats prefer to feed during the night (at all hours). Obviously I can't be there all night every night. Any advice you can give me about "bringing them around" would be gratefully appreciated. I've been documenting all cats I've seen and their feeding habits but I know there are MANY more out there that I'm not seeing - yet. Thank you and please don't stop doing what you do. The furries will thank you for it.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01735823059264287445noreply@blogger.com
